Desk with Splayed Legs
Two cross-battens with angled (dovetailed) edges are let into the underside of the top planks, essentially two sliding dovetails. This allows complete expansion and contraction of the top, and assembly of the top elements without glue.  The angled legs are through-tenoned into the cross-battens, and wedged like ax handles.  The whole structure when assembled is very strong.  A drawer on both sides allows the desk to be used in an open space.   Made from cherry and limed (white pigment and wax) white oak
